For Law Firms & Solo Attorneys

They called three firms. They hired the one that answered.

Somebody with a legal problem doesn't leave a voicemail and wait patiently. They work down the list until a human picks up. Local Linq makes sure that's your firm.

Built in Fort Worth. (817) 518-8268 is our live AI — call it and hear what your callers would hear.

The Problem

Legal callers don't call back

This is the thing that makes your phone different from a plumber's. Your caller is anxious, and anxiety doesn't wait — it dials the next number.

"I was in an accident yesterday."
The most valuable call your firm will take this month, and it's being placed from a hospital parking lot at 7pm on a Sunday. There is no callback window on this one.
"Do you handle custody cases?"
Pure routing. Answered, it's a consultation. Unanswered, it's a client for the firm two blocks over who happened to pick up.
"What do you charge for a consultation?"
The question that gates every intake you'll ever do. A voicemail greeting cannot answer it, and most callers won't ask twice.
"Is anybody available to talk today?"
The urgency is the entire tell. This person is ready to retain someone — today — and they will.
The Math

What one missed intake actually costs

Most firms track billable hours obsessively and have never once measured the calls that never became files.

Say your firm takes 40 intake calls a month and gets to twenty-eight.

Say one in six of those twelve missed calls would have signed.

That's two matters a month, at say $6,000 in fees.

And $6,000 is deliberately conservative. One PI case can be worth more than everything else on this page combined.

Retained by the firm that picked up
$12,000
Per month, at a conservative average fee. If your practice area carries contingency or five-figure retainers, run this again with your own number.
What It Does

Intake that happens at 7pm on a Sunday

Local Linq answers, captures the matter properly, and books the consult — so the anxious caller stops calling firms.

01

It knows your practice areas

What you take, what you don't, and where you're licensed. A caller with a matter you don't handle gets a clean answer instead of a week of phone tag.

02

It captures intake properly

Names, dates, opposing party, what happened, how to reach them. Structured and consistent, every time, which is more than most front desks manage at 4:55pm on a Friday.

03

It books the consultation

On your calendar during the call, while they're still motivated. The gap between the call and the consult is where firms lose clients.

04

It screens out the non-cases

The solicitors, the wrong practice area, the person who wants free advice. You spend your time on matters that could become files.

05

It flags the urgent ones

An arrest, a filing deadline, a fresh accident — those reach you immediately. A general question waits until morning.

06

It does not give legal advice

This one matters. It captures, routes, and schedules. It never opines on a matter, never predicts an outcome, and never says anything that could be mistaken for counsel.

The Alternatives

Why not just have a receptionist take it?

Worth being straight about what each option actually gets you.

OptionWhat it costsWhat it can't do
Receptionist or intake staff $3,200+ a month, plus turnover Covers business hours only — and the accident, the arrest, and the panicked 9pm call all happen outside them. Also the first to go when things get tight.
Answering service Per-call, and it adds up A stranger with a message pad who can't tell a PI case from a parking ticket, can't answer what you charge, and can't book. You get a callback list that's already cold.
Voicemail $0 For a legal caller this is the same as being closed. They are not leaving a message — they are dialing the next firm on the results page.
Local Linq A fraction of an intake hire Answers around the clock, captures the matter, books the consult, flags the urgent ones. Nights, weekends, and the Sunday evening when the accident actually happened.
Fair Questions

What attorneys actually ask us

"Can it give legal advice? Because it absolutely cannot."

Agreed, and it doesn't. It's built to do intake only: identify the practice area, capture what happened, schedule the consultation, and route urgency. It's explicitly instructed never to assess a matter, never to predict an outcome, and never to say anything that resembles counsel. When a caller pushes for an opinion, it says that's a question for the attorney and books the time.

"What about confidentiality?"

Fair question and you should ask it of any intake vendor. Practically, this is the same posture as any third-party intake service or answering service your firm might already use — the difference is that call records land in your systems rather than sitting on a call center's notepad. If your bar's rules or your malpractice carrier have specific requirements around third-party intake, tell me what they are and I'll build to them or tell you honestly if I can't.

"We already have someone doing intake."

Keep them. They're better than any AI at the consultation itself. What they can't do is answer at 9pm on a Saturday when somebody's just been arrested, or pick up the second line when two calls come in at once. Most firms run us for after-hours and overflow only.

"Our clients expect to speak with a person."

They expect to be taken seriously and told what happens next. In practice the thing that makes a caller feel dismissed isn't a professional voice handling their intake — it's ringing out to voicemail at the worst moment of their year.

Getting Started

Thirty minutes of your time. That's it.

1

We learn your firm

Practice areas, what you decline, consultation fees, how you want matters captured, and what counts as urgent.

2

We build and train it

Live in about a week. You call it and tell us what to change before a client ever hears it.

3

You forward your line

Everything, or only after-hours and overflow. Most firms start with after-hours.

4

You stop losing intakes

To whichever firm happened to pick up first.

Who You're Dealing With
I'm Tyler. I build these out of Fort Worth. Law firms have the highest cost per missed call of anyone I work with — a single intake can be worth more than a year of what most of my clients pay me. And legal callers are the least likely of anybody to leave a message. If you want to hear what your firm's intake would sound like, I'll build a demo before you pay me anything.

Try It Before You Talk to Anyone

Hear it handle an intake call

Call the line below and talk to our AI yourself — it's live right now, not a recording. Try to get it to give you legal advice, actually. That's the fastest way to see how it's built. Or tell me about your firm and I'll load one with your practice areas.
